ITI is the largest performing arts organization globally with strong ties to UNESCO. Its mission is to connect theater professionals organizations enthusiasts across cultures promote cultural exchange theater development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why March 27th? There\u2019s an interesting story here: ITI decided back in 1961 that there should be a World Theatre Day celebrated annually from 1962 onwards\u2014and they chose March 27th intentionally because on that same day in 1962 ITI organized an important international theater event\u2014the Theatre of Nations\u2014in Paris! This festival gathered top troupes works from around world making date historically significant richly international.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
